President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has urged cadets studying at the Liberia Marine Training Institute (LMTI) to subscribe to the Code of Ethics of the Institute and stand ready to be the pioneers of a tradition built on the provision of quality training and capacity building. She made the remarks on Monday, January 21, 2013 when she observed the hoisting of the flags of the Republic of Liberia, the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the Liberia Maritime Authority (LiMA) and the LMTI which was a consequence of the formal reopening of the Institute in Marshall City after more than 23 years of closure.
