ass-imo
IMO Secretary-General Kitack Lim receives Mr Isaac W. Jackson, Jr., Permanent Representative of Liberia to IMO, who presented a cheque representing Liberia’s assessed contribution to the Organization.
The amount in the tune of almost 3 million British Pounds is second highest contribution to the IMO budget only next to Panama. Assessment dues are calculated based on the total gross tonnage of a country's international shipping registry. Liberia currently operates the second highest shipping registry.
