  The Authorities of the Liberia Maritime Authority (LiMA) wish to clarify and inform the general public that the October 15, 2018 Advisory given to the US Coast Guard by the US Department of Homeland Security regarding restrictions of vessels entering US waters from certain ports in several countries including Liberia is not a downgrade of our port operations in any respect and only relate to compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code issued by IMO in 2002 which became effective in 2004.

The 19th Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Regional Maritime University based in Accra, Ghana took place in Monrovia from March 20th to 23rd, 2018 at the Bella Cassa Hotel. The Board of Governors is the highest decision making body of the University structure with powers to approve staffing/HR proposals, budget, new academic programs as well as conclude agreements between the University and other institutions/individuals. It comprises the heads of Transport Ministries and Maritime Administrations of the Member Countries - Cameroon, The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
